This dustjacket was used on the 4th impression of the first edition of this title which was issued by Collins in March 1922 in their 2/6d novels series, so it was cheaper than the first edition which probably cost 7/6d.
This is Freeman Wills Crofts' second novel after 'The Cask' (1920) and before 'The Pit-prop Syndicate' (1922).
