Carr reported in his History of the QTP that he had published two impressions of engravings by George Mackley (1900-1983). I have seen three impressions, the second and third differ only in the colour of the covers, so I don't know which came before the other.
Mackley's entry in Wikipedia is sparse, to say the least. If you know anything about him please add to it or tell me, and I will add it to Wikipedia, ideally with references.
The fact that this small book was printed by two different companies indicates that in this instance, Carr retained the printing plates. I wonder why Carr transferred from Seddon to Dawes for the second impression? Price, perhaps. Seddon's closed down in the mid-2000s, perhaps because the market for shoe boxes had dwindled, and their premises were derelict in 2011.
According to Jisc Library Hub there is a copy in the Royal Academy of Arts, but it's not listed in the RA catalogue. There is a copy in the library of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
